Kitchen Day Spa – Face Mask

Have a look in the kitchen for your skincare; you might be surprised by what you find and how beneficial it could be.

You can quickly whip up a DIY skin mask from ingredients found in your kitchen that are great for reviving your skin.
After all, your skin is your body’s largest organ and should be given the same respect as your internal organs, so what goes in your body should go on your body as well.

Banana Face Mask – rich and nourishing for dry skin.

One egg yolk
Two teaspoons almond oil
One ripe banana

Using a fork, mash all the ingredients in a bowl to form a paste.
Apply to your face and leave for at least 10 minutes, remove with cool water and pat dry with a clean towel.

Grapefruit Mask – naturally rich in AHA’s ( alpha-hydroxy acids ),
a skin toning facial treatment, great for all skin types.

1 Grapefruit
50 ml of yogurt

Peel the grapefruit and remove seeds and pith, blend yogurt and grapefruit until it forms a smooth paste.
Apply to your face for at least 10 minutes and wash off with cool water and pat dry with a clean towel.

Avocado and Honey Mask – great for rejuvenating, nourishing, and regenerating tired or mature skin.

One ripe avocado
One teaspoon honey
One teaspoon lemon juice
One teaspoon plain yogurt

Combine all ingredients in a bowl, and apply to face, leave for 10 minutes.
Gentle remove with cool water and pat dry with a clean towel.

Egg White and Lemon – great for oily skin and remove impurities

1 egg white
Juice from half a lemon

Whip ingredients together, and apply to face for 30minutes, wash with warm water. Repeat three times per week until desired results. Moisturise after.

These natural DIY masks are great for your skin and the environment and are ethical, sustainable, and affordable.
